Kellie Pickler has announced her engagement to songwriter Kyle Jacobs. He proposed to her on June 15 during a Florida beach vacation, according to an interview with People magazine. Pickler and Jacobs met about two and a-half years ago. She told the publication the proposal fell on the anniversary of her late grandmother’s birthday. “It turned out to be the most amazing day of my life,” she said. “My whole world changed. We both feel like we got my grandmother’s blessing.” Jacobs’ songwriting credits include Garth Brooks’ “More Than a Memory” and Tim McGraw’s “Still,” as well as cuts by Trace Adkins, Jo Dee Messina, Craig Morgan and Clay Walker, among others.

Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom and Victoria Secret model Miranda Kerr have officially announced their engagement.  The couple began dating three years ago, and since then have battled marriage rumors almost on a continuous basis.  In 2008, Kerr was spotted sporting a very large sparkling ring on her left finger, but nothing came of it and the rumors were put to rest.

Bloom has had a rocky year, just recently testifying against Pretty Wild (TV) star Alexis Neiers as a victim of the Hollywood Bling Ring, in which Neiers was sentenced to 180 days in county jail.  Thankfully for the star, the dark days seem to be long behind him.

A rep for the couple told ET, “Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are getting married.”  No details on the wedding date or location, but chances are when something is finalized, it will make headline news.  Could kids be in the picture soon?  Two years ago, Keer told Page Six, “I’ve always wanted kids, so someday, eventually, yes, it will happen.”

On Sunday, singer and song writer, Blake Shelton proposed Miranda Lambert with a wedding ring for marriage. Shelton asked for her father’s blessing before presenting Miranda Lambert with a diamond-and-platinum ring.

Both of them celebrated with rum and Diet Sprite and looked extremely happy and excited. Miranda Lambert will be getting married for the first time whereas the man who proposed her has got married before and this is his second marriage.

Chelsea Clinton Engagement Ring debut

Sunday night was the opening of Broadway’s “Promises, Promises.”  There was plenty buzz surrounding the opening night, mainly the debut of former first daughter, Chelsea Clinton’s, engagement ring.

Clinton, 30, arrived Sunday night on crutches sporting the diamond engagement ring that was given to her last November by her fiancé, Marc Mezvinsky.  Clinton who broke her heel, is expected to be off her crutches just in time for her upcoming summer nuptials.

There have been no reports of where the wedding will take place; however the public should not get their hopes up for a lavish event full of paparazzi.  The Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that it will be a private affair that will include only close friends and family “the way it should be.”

The former first daughter is set to marry investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, 32, this summer.  He popped the question over Thanksgiving last year. The two have been friends since childhood and attended college together. He is the son of Ed Mezvinsky of Iowa and former congressmen Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky of Pennsylvania.

According to recent reports, if Mezvinsky ever strays then she will walk away with $10 million. It seems that Clinton’s father’s heavily publicized affair had a lasting impact.

The famously cantankerous American Idol judge squirmed in his seat on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Monday as the host dissected reports of Cowell’s engagement to Idol makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy.
“Are rumors you’re engaged true?” Leno asked. Cowell took a moment and responded carefully, “Are they true? Well, I do have somebody in my life now, Jay, yes. And I kinda made a decision this year to make somebody happy.”

As the audience cheered, Leno asked about the huge ring Hussainy has been sporting on her left hand.

“I thought she broke her arm,” Leno joked. Cowell responded, “It’s quite a big one, yes.”

When Leno called Cowell out for turning red, Cowell confessed, “I am blushing.” Leno asked, “Where did you, or may have, gotten engaged?” Cowell said, “I find this very uncomfortable. I was asleep, I think. No, look, I bought her the ring in London.”

Later, Leno spotted Hussainy, 36, in the audience and invited her to come on stage to join Cowell, 50. The pair looked giddy and comfortable with each other, said a witness.

As Cowell and Leno joked about what role, if any, Leno would have in Cowell’s future wedding – Cowell suggested Leno could be a flower girl – Cowell said that he would want a wedding “in the next 10 years” and on the subject of having children, added, “I’m kind of torn because I’m a bit too old to have kids, but then again I think it would be important to have a lot of me’s around in the future.”

Friends star David Schwimmer is to marry British photographer Zoe Buckman, his publicist has confirmed.

Schwimmer, 45, reportedly met Buckman, 24, while he was in London directing 2007 film Run Fatboy Run, which starred Simon Pegg.

The actor and director’s representative confirmed the news to US magazine, Entertainment Weekly.

Schwimmer is still best known for playing Ross in hit US sitcom Friends, which ended its 10-year run in 2004.

Schwimmer directed a number of episodes of Friends before the show ended.

He received mixed reviews for his West End debut in Neil LaBute’s play Some Girls in May, before going on to appear in the role of Lieutenant Barney Greenwald in Herman Wouk’s play – The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial on Broadway in 2006.

Ottawa Senators right wing Mike Comrie, 29, popped the question during a vacation in Maui this week, according to E! News.

He sure know how to give good gifts: Shortly after they began dating in 2007, says Us, Comrie surprised Duff with a Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV as an early 20th birthday gift.

“He’s a great guy,” Hilary told Us last year. “We just laugh our heads off, which I need in my life.”

The ex-Miss California, 22, began dating the 28-year-old U.C. Berkeley alum last July in the midst of her controversial rise to fame, which included anti-same-sex marriage lobbying, alleged sex tapes and a much-talked-about showdown with Larry King.

Prejean may have been stripped of her previous title, but here’s hoping she has better luck with the next—wife!

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher

Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen are seemingly set to marry this month.

The couple have reportedly sent out party invites asking guests to keep February 26 free, however, the notices do not contain any further information.

It is believed Sacha, 38, and 34-year-old Isla – who have been together for eight years and have a two-year-old daughter, Olive, together – have booked several possible venues in the UK in a bid to keep the actual location of the ceremony secret.

A source told The Mail on Sunday newspaper: “Sacha and Isla are throwing a party. They have asked everyone to come in fancy dress. They haven’t told anyone it’s a wedding but that’s what we all suspect.”

However, a spokesperson for the ‘Bruno’ actor claims the pair have no plans to marry anytime in the near future.

The possible wedding date coincides with the Jewish festival of Purim an important annual religious festival for followers of Judaism like Sacha.

Purim commemorates the deliverance of Jewish people living in Babylonia in 6th century BCE from a Persian Empire plot to murder them.

It is celebrated according to the Hebrew calendar on the 14th day of the Hebrew month of Adar, which this year falls on February 28, although the festival begins at sunset on February 27.

Australian actress Isla has converted to Judaism in order to marry Sacha and admitted last year she was happy with her decision.

The ‘Wedding Crashers’ star – who has been given the Hebrew name Ayala or ‘Doe’ – said: “I love religions and find them fascinating and I find Judaism very beautiful. It has enriched my life enormously.”
