Kim Kardashian had long dreamed of the perfect man — and the perfect ring. “In high school I went to Macy’s and bought this fake ring, my ‘perfect’ ring, and this is almost the exact same,” she says, staring down at the 20-plus-carat gem Humphries designed with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, a longtime Kardashian friend who has not only decked the reality star in her gorgeous jewels for events like the Emmy Awards but has also created engagement rings for stars like Beyoncé. Wanting something distinctly her own (“Khloé’s is a radiant cut,” she says of her sister’s ring), Kardashian loves the classic design. Humphries had simpler requirements: “I just knew I wanted it to be big!” And he got more than big, as Kim gushed, “It’s the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It’s perfect.” The 16.5-carat emerald cut center stone is flanked by a pair of 2-carat trapezoids, for a total weight of 20.5 carats! Humphries even managed to work out the design without his now-fiancé knowing. Kardashian explains, “[Lorraine] always listened to what I would want and the shapes I love. I had said I loved an emerald cut and they were scheming and plotting for a while.” Humphries confided his plans in his parents, but felt confident in his decision. “I knew she’d love it — she better!” –Jennifer Garcia

Sara Rue is a married woman!

The 32-year-old actress said “I do” to Kevin Price at the Bel Air Bay Club in Malibu, Calif. on Saturday, her rep confirmed exclusively to Us Weekly.

“I’ve never been happier,” the “Rules of Engagement” star told Us. “I feel so lucky to have found someone as kind, funny and smart as Kevin.”

A friend of the couple who was ordained online performed the ceremony. “It’s more personal that way,” Rue’s wedding planner Rachel Hollis told Us.

“One of the first things Sara ever told me was that she was obsessed with butterflies and hummingbirds,” Hollis said. “She loves specifically hummingbirds. She had this idea of a vintage inspired garden party and it evolved from there.”

Rue, who lost 50 lbs. in the past year, got engaged to Price in August 2009 and had been planning her nuptials for the past seven months. Her beachside wedding was “elegant and really intimate.” Hollis said: “They didn’t invite 700 people. They wanted it to be their closest friends. I think the final guest count is 112.”

“The reception is going to be really fun,” Hollis said. “[Sara] has talked a ton about how they met playing beer pong, so they wanted that at the reception. Obviously that is not a traditional reception kind of thing to have!”

The couple made their beer pong table themselves. “It’s a beautiful beer pong table with a net made out of flowers, not a college frat house one,” Hollis said.

Wedding favors were custom painted ping pong paddles in bags with Rue and Price’s initials. Inside each guest’s bag were two ping pong balls with the wedding date on them. “Guests can actually use those to play beer pong later in the night,” Hollis said.

“They really want it to be a party,” she added. “They really want it to go as late as possible.”

Sara Rue will marry her longtime fiancé Kevin Price in a beachside ceremony Saturday – and after months of “stressful” planning, the Shedding for the Wedding host is ready to indulge.

“I’ll be having one of each,” Rue, a Jenny Craig spokeswoman, tells PEOPLE of the three wedding cakes planned for the nuptials, including a red velvet and a pumpkin caramel confection. “Tiny slivers!”

When Rue, 33, ties the knot with Price, 35, at oceanfront club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., the actress – who has lost over 50 lbs. in the past year – will show off her svelte figure in a coffee-colored Amsale dress.

Details of the hummingbird and butterfly-themed nuptials, which was planned by Rachel Hollis, include the bride’s butterfly-adorned Aaron Seth shoes and butterfly brooches that the bridesmaids will pin onto their vintage dresses, which Rue found after searching “all over Los Angeles,” she told PEOPLE at a City of Hope event earlier this month.

Following the ceremony, Rue is looking forward to the reception where, “I can just relax, dance, and be with my family and friends” at a beer pong bash, she says.

“We met at a Fourth of July party and Kevin taught me to play,” the bride says of the drinking game inspiration for their reception. Rue and Price spent hours of “blood, sweat, and tears,” in their backyard creating a customized beer pong table and paddles, stenciling butterflies on them with spray paint.

As for the cuisine, guests will be served healthy vegetarian options as well as latkes (potato pancakes) and other traditional Jewish dishes that Rue has loved since childhood.

After the deejay spins his last track, the newlyweds will jet to French Polynesia for a romantic honeymoon where Rue plans to “flounce around in tiny shorts and a bikini top,” she told PEOPLE recently.

This will be the second wedding for Rue, who divorced writer Mischa Livingstone, in 2008.

Greatest Marriage Proposal Ever!

FROM: CBSnews.com

(CBS) – And now for a theater experience that will truly move you. Matt wanted to propose to his girlfriend Ginny, and he wanted it to be public. So this clever Casanova arranged for Ginny to be taken to a screening of “Fast Five” where a very unusual movie trailer played. Watch it for yourself. And then be prepared to break out the Kleenex.

The heartfelt talk with the father, the rush to the theater, the public proposal. This thing is basically a movie in itself. Well done, Matt. And, of course, best wishes to the happy couple.

Props to Michael Escobar Productions as well for the excellent production values on this adorable video.

Dating since 2006, “The Voice” mentor asked for Lambert’s hand in marriage last May. “I fumbled it up a little,” he told Us of the proposal. “It’s funny how you rehearse those things and go over what you want to say, but I probably screwed it up.”

Fortunately, Lambert didn’t seem to notice. “He did a really good job,” she insisted. “He’s always nervous around me, though — and that’s how I like it!”

This is the first marriage for Lambert; Shelton was married to Kaynette Williams from 2003-2006.

Paul McCartney is Engaged

Paul McCartney is engaged to girlfriend Nancy Shevell, the New York woman he’s been dating since 2007, his rep confirmed Friday.

“We’re all thrilled for him,” the singer’s publicist told the Associated Press, declining to give further details about the proposal.

This will be the third marriage for the cute Beatle, now 68. McCartney’s first wife, photographer, musician and activist Linda McCartney, died of cancer in 1998. His second marriage, to model, activist and eventual “Dancing With the Stars” contestant Heather Mills, ended in a $49-million divorce in 2008. Mills and McCartney had separated in May 2006.

Described in some reports as a “New York socialite” — she and McCartney met in the Hamptons — Shevell, 51, is vice president of administration for New England Motor Freight Inc. and the Shevell Group of Companies, based in New Jersey and run by her father, Myron “Mike” Shevell. She’s also a board member for New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority, with a term expiring in June.

McCartney and Shevell “have the right chemistry,” a source told People. “They’re both cool, chilled out and optimistic.”

It’s a second marriage for Shevell, who has a teenage son. She and New York lawyer Bruce Blakeman separated in 2007 after more than 20 years together; their reportedly amicable divorce was final in December 2008.

McCartney has five children, including one, 7-year-old Beatrice, with Mills
