That was fast. Just a month after their engagement was confirmed, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have gotten married.

The model, 27, and the British actor, 33, are now on their honeymoon, Kerr reveals in a statement explaining why she’s canceling an appearance at the Australian department store David Jones.

“David Jones very graciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together,” Kerr says in the statement. “I’m very much a part of the David Jones Family and I am very committed to my role. I am enormously grateful to David Jones to have been given this time to enjoy such a special moment in my life.”

The couple reportedly began dating in late 2007. “We were friends for a while and then it just developed into a little more,” she told Hello! magazine in September 2008, adding that Bloom asked her agent for her number – because she wouldn’t give it to him.

“At the time I was seeing someone else,” she explained.

Bloom and Kerr made their first public appearance in April 2008 at Sydney’s Doncaster Day at the Randwick Racecourse. That same weekend, the actor also met her parents.

Last year, when the two spent Thanksgiving together in Morocco, Bloom told reporters he and Kerr were “just enjoying our time together now” when asked if they were getting married anytime soon.

Country singer Carrie Underwood has been seen taking a dip in the in Tahitian waters with her new husband Mike Fisher.

The American Idol winner and her hockey player beau are reportedly honeymooning on the Pacific island.

The newlyweds arrived at the luxury resort enjoying cocktails and the singer was spotted with flowers in her hair, Us magazine reports.

The couple were married in a ‘gorgeous’ ceremony on Saturday at the Ritz Carlton

Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, near Atlanta.

They celebrated their commitment with 200 friends and family, enjoying Southern food and cupcakes.

‘It was a nice party for a nice couple,” a witness said Us magazine reports.

NEW YORK – It’s a match made in Oscar heaven: Penelope Cruz (krooz) and Javier Bardem (HAH’-vee-ayr bar-DEHM’) have gotten married.

Cruz’s representative Amanda Silverman confirms the couple were married in the beginning of July at a friend’s house in the Bahamas.

She said in an e-mail to The Associated Press on Tuesday the ceremony for the 36-year-old Cruz and the 41-year-old Bardem was a small one that only family members attended.

Cruz’s wedding dress was designed by a longtime friend, fashion designer John Galliano.

Cruz and Bardem are from Spain. They appeared together in the 2008 Woody Allen romantic comedy “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” Cruz won a supporting-actress Oscar for her role.

Bardem won a supporting-actor Oscar for the 2007 crime thriller “No Country for Old Men.”

Just a week after his onscreen wife Jenna Fischer headed down the aisle, John Krasinski has joined the offscreen newlyweds club with a marriage to Emily Blunt.

The Office star and Blunt, who began dating in 2008, wed Saturday in a private ceremony at the Villa d’Este in Como, Italy, according to Us Weekly.

George Clooney and girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis were reportedly among guests in attendance at the outdoor ceremony. 

Ever the private pair, 30-year-old Krasinski and the 27-year-old Devil Wears Prada star managed to keep most details of their nuptials quiet, after they were engaged last August. Congrats!

Now here’s a fairytale romance worthy of a sitcom: This weekend, everyone’s favorite fictional receptionist, Jenna Fischer of  The Office, married actor and writer Lee Kirk in a private ceremony. The couple got engaged last summer in Europe. Fischer’s first marriage was to writer James Gunn, but apparently Kirk and Gunn are on friendly terms—Kirk starred in Gunn’s Web series PG Porn, billed as “for people who like everything about porn … except the sex.”

Rainn Wilson was moved enough by his co-star’s marriage to tweet about it: “Went to the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever experienced. Total Love, Jenna Fischer & Lee Kirk!”
